On October 8th I had a heart attack. It was sudden and unexpected. I had been working hard for weeks outside on my tiny house project and working out in between. Arguably, I was the picture of good health and activity. A few months before we had begun the Sabbath study in Cadence and I had dedicated a 24-hour period weekly to rest as a result. This was leading up to the heart attack. I went to the hospital at 2am on one day and was released at 9am the next with no restrictions and a healthy heart. The surgeon had put in a stint into the "widow-maker" artery which was 95% blocked. I credit my life, that 5% that was not blocked, to the margin of rest bought by honoring the Sabbath the previous weeks.
